One kitchen, one team, three generations of regulars.
Sydän Pizza opened in April 2018. Two things were missing in the neighbourhood: quick pizzerias whose dough was actually proofed, and restaurants whose prices fit a Malmi family.
Mehmet twenty years of kitchen experience from Istanbul to Helsinki's Vuosaari decided to solve both at once. One place where pizza is made properly, kebab spins on the spit the way it should, and the burger patty is cooked to order, not from a warming drawer.
Eight years later there are four cooks in the kitchen, three servers on the floor, over 2,000 regulars, and a permanently green smiley in the corner of the OIVA report.
Mehmet is still in the kitchen every day. He knows your kid's name if you've ordered a couple of times. He remembers that your son-in-law doesn't eat onions. This isn't a chain. It's a place where someone knows you.
